Camino has been one of my favorite restaurants since I moved back to the Bay Area last year. We headed there for dinner tonight. The menu is seasonal, fresh, and short... which works for some people and not for others. The squid has been on and off the menu all spring / summer (mostly on) in different incarnations, but always good.

My MacBook Air is having trouble recognizing internal speakers and microphone so I haven't been able to play anything through my computer in weeks. I had a little free time today so I made an appointment at the Apple store to see if they can fix it (my attempts to find the solution online went nowhere). Update after on how it goes.
Update: pram kick in the ass didn't help, but I knew that because I had already tried that at home. Had to leave Ampersand (the name of my MacBook air) at the store. :-(

Yesterday I arrived at Heathrow early and spent a little time doing some duty-free shopping. I've been looking for a new briefcase for a while and was leaning towards getting a stylish one that had removable wheels, but decided to go for this one when I saw it at the airport. It may have more than a little to do with the cute Scottish Terrier that's the logo for Radley. Today I managed to load it up with my stuff, which fits, but if I really use this bag I will be forced (or at least encouraged) to pack lightly. It's full with just the basics. The little bag in front is a cute reusable shopping bag with attached pouch.
I'm not sure when I started liking pink. I remember when pink used to be horrible, and now I'm like, oh, cute!

It's August again and that means it's time for the August One-A-Day photo challenge. This year I'm doing it here on my blog rather than at Flickr, but feel free to join in over in our Flickr group which has been hanging around since last year.
I'm going to try not to do self-portraits for this challenge since I do a daily self-portrait anyone, but I'm not promising anything. I took this shot just before bed after my morning in the UK (breakfast with friends!) and 12 hrs on the plane (if you include the time we sat on the runway) and dinner at... oh my, where did we have dinner? I'm getting forgetful as I get more and more tired (dinner @ cesar on Shattuck).
